Street Soul Productions are proud to present the Basement Sessions podcasts.

Established in February 2009 by Vice, Basement Sessions sole purpose is to create an outlet for talented musicians, graphic designers, artists, and independent minds at all levels, and build a strong creative community.

In May 2009 Basement Sessions joined forces with Sensei FM, an online radio station created by the Itch FM team after they were forced to end transmission.

With 30,000 hits a month, Sensei is a strong allie for Basement Sessions, who are creating dedicated monthly shows tailoring the music and interviews more towards the UK market.

Another serious advantage of the collaboration with Sensei FM (as of June 2010) is the chance to offer registered artists PRS Royalty Fees, which are all too rare in the current digital platform.

Originally only 2 shows a month were broadcast by Vice, then after receiving positive feedback and incredible support from various organistions, blogs, labels and more Basement Sessions mushroomed and went from 2 shows in September 2009 to 14 shows a month in January 2010.

The team offer shows from around the World, representing independent Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Dub, Breaks, Jazz and much more.

Alongside the monthly roster, Basement Sessions collaborate with various DJs to bring exclusive mixes.

With a wide range of styles and vibes, the podcasts have now spread to a Worlwide audience, with listenners from the UK, to the US, Australia to Africa, France to Italy, to China to Russia.
